What Makes Our Live Interview Course Stand Out
Preparing for medicine interviews is not about memorising answers. It is about understanding what medical schools are really assessing and learning how to communicate your strengths clearly and confidently. Our approach gives you the structure, practice and personalised guidance you need to perform at your best.
Why students and families choose theMSAG
We teach frameworks, not scripts
You learn simple ways to break down any question, organise your ideas and speak clearly, without memorising model answers that sound unnatural or rehearsed.
Deep, long standing understanding of UK medical school admissions
For more than fifteen years we have been collecting real interview questions from students we coach, and our team over the years has included interviewers from twelve UK medical schools. Everything you learn is grounded in what interviewers genuinely ask and genuinely assess.
A supportive environment that builds real confidence
Small groups, guided practice and constructive feedback create a kind and encouraging space to improve. Students quickly become more fluent, more structured and more comfortable speaking out loud.
A complete preparation system
In every class you learn clear structures and approaches, watch live demonstrations, practise answering aloud and receive detailed feedback. Between classes you can keep preparing with our award winning online course, join weekly practice sessions until the end of January and reach out by email or WhatsApp whenever you need guidance. Everything works together to help you improve steadily and consistently.
Coaching from an experienced admissions specialist who knows you personally
Every session is taught by Dr Dibah Jiva. With eighteen years of experience and more than one thousand students coached, she brings deep expertise to every class. Because she works with you throughout the course, in teaching sessions, practice sessions and through ongoing support, she gets to know your strengths, growth areas and upcoming interviews. This allows her to offer truly personalised advice and targeted suggestions each step of the way.
A track record families trust
For more than a decade, families have chosen theMSAG because our guidance is practical, honest and consistently effective. Many return with siblings, cousins and friends after seeing the impact of our teaching.
Up to 19 Hours of Interview Coaching
More comprehensive training than any competitor
Our Live Medicine Interview Course provides extensive interview coaching through 10 hours of comprehensive initial training plus weekly Sunday practice sessions (running November through January). This extensive programme, totalling up to 19 hours for early joiners, sets us apart from competitors who typically offer just 5 to 7 hours total. Medical school interviews encompass numerous question types including motivation questions, ethical scenarios, personal examples, role plays, prioritisation exercises, and special MMI stations, each requiring dedicated time to understand the approach, practice the technique, and receive personalised feedback. We dedicate two full hours to medical ethics alone, ensuring you understand and can apply sophisticated ethical reasoning. Similarly, we spend two hours on personal examples, another two on challenges and growth, and substantial time on every other major category.
Most importantly, our 19 hours combine teaching with integrated practice. You're actively participating in mock questions, receiving immediate feedback, and refining your technique throughout rather than sitting through lectures. The 9 hours of Sunday practice sessions ensure your skills stay sharp right up to your interview dates, with content adapted to your specific upcoming interviews. This comprehensive coverage means you'll never encounter a question type you haven't prepared for, developing genuine skills rather than memorising surface-level tips.
Award-Winning Resources
PIEoneer Award winner for digital innovation
When you enrol, you immediately gain access to our complete suite of interview preparation materials, sold separately at £100. This digital resource won the prestigious PIEoneer Award for Innovation in Digital Learning and is used yearly by over 2,000 applicants. The platform provides over 200 sample interview questions with comprehensive model answers, 4.5+ hours of video content, and 168 detailed lessons covering every question type. The model answers were scripted by current and former medical school interviewers from St. George's, Birmingham, Keele, Nottingham, and Bristol medical schools, giving you genuine insider perspectives on what impresses interview panels.
These resources complement your live teaching perfectly, allowing you to prepare between sessions, revisit challenging topics, and practice independently. Unlike other courses that require additional purchases for complete preparation, we include everything in your single course fee. The answers demonstrate the appropriate depth, structure, and tone that interviewers expect, serving as templates you can adapt with your own experiences, while video content breaks down complex concepts with clear explanations of frameworks you can immediately apply.
Dr Jiva: 18 Years Experience
100% success rate with personally coached students
Your course is taught entirely by Dr. Dibah Jiva, founder of theMSAG, who brings 18 years of specialised medicine interview coaching experience with a 100% success rate for students she has personally coached. Dr. Jiva personally delivers every hour of teaching, ensuring consistent expert guidance throughout your preparation journey rather than delegating to junior instructors or medical students. She has trained dozens of doctors to become interview coaches and worked with team members from 12 different UK medical schools, giving her comprehensive insights into what each institution values. Her experience spans thousands of successful applications across every UK medical school, from traditional institutions like Cambridge and Oxford to newer programmes like Edge Hill and Sunderland.
This depth of experience translates directly into your preparation. Dr. Jiva recognises common pitfalls before you make them, identifies your individual strengths and areas for development quickly, and provides targeted advice that transforms your interview performance. Her teaching method has been refined over nearly two decades, incorporating feedback from thousands of students and insights from admissions tutors. She understands the subtle differences in interview styles and the specific qualities each school prioritises, helping you authentically demonstrate your suitability.
Small Groups, Personal Feedback
Individual attention in a supportive environment
We create an intimate coaching environment where everyone receives individual attention and detailed, personalised feedback through our carefully designed small group format. With cameras on and active participation throughout, you'll quickly feel comfortable with your classmates, creating a supportive atmosphere where you can practice authentically. Every student practices multiple times per session, actively engaged in answering questions, receiving immediate feedback from Dr. Jiva, and learning from observing peers. Dr. Jiva learns each student's individual communication style, natural strengths, and specific areas for improvement, allowing increasingly targeted feedback as the course progresses.
This personalised attention addresses not just what you say but how you say it, including body language, tone, and pace. You'll leave each session knowing exactly what you did well and what to work on, with specific, actionable feedback rather than generic advice. This level of individual coaching is impossible in larger courses or when tutors don't get to know you well, providing the perfect balance between personal coaching and valuable peer learning.
Continuous Support
Weekly Sunday practice + WhatsApp support until January
Our ongoing support includes weekly practice sessions every Sunday at 3pm until the end of January 2026, ensuring you maintain and develop your interview skills throughout the entire application season. These integral sessions provide regular opportunities to practice and receive feedback tailored to your upcoming interviews. As Dr. Jiva gets to know your specific interview schedule and individual needs, she adapts content accordingly, focusing on question types relevant to your particular medical schools. Beyond scheduled sessions, we provide support through WhatsApp and email channels where you can ask questions, seek clarification, or request feedback on your progress.
Dr. Jiva personally monitors each student's development, proactively identifying areas where additional support might help. If you're struggling with ethical scenarios, she'll provide extra resources. If your confidence needs boosting before a big interview, she'll offer specific strategies and reminders of your strengths. This continuous support recognises that interview preparation is an ongoing process where needs evolve, new questions arise, and confidence naturally fluctuates. You're never alone in your preparation, with consistent guidance and expert advice whenever needed until you receive your medical school offers.
Exceptional Value
Complete preparation for £270
Our course was redesigned three years ago to create the most affordable complete interview preparation that still delivers exceptional results. After running traditional courses for 12 years, we recognised quality preparation was becoming increasingly inaccessible due to cost barriers. Despite maintaining the best track record in the industry, we've deliberately structured our course to be the most affordable full preparation programme available. A typical competitor course costs £170 for just 6 hours with a medical student instructor, providing no personal feedback, ongoing support, or resources. Students often need additional materials and expensive one-to-one tutoring at £100+ per hour, with total costs quickly escalating to £1000 or more. Our course includes up to 19 hours of coaching from Dr. Jiva (10 hours core training plus weekly practice through January) with her 100% success record, award-winning self-study resources worth £100, and continuous support, all for £270.
The small group format provides personal attention and individualised feedback of one-to-one tutoring at a fraction of the cost. Many students who complete our comprehensive programme don't need any additional tutoring, and those who do require significantly less than if they'd taken a different type of course. This dramatically reduces overall preparation costs while maintaining quality that ensures success. We considered cheaper options like larger classes or shorter courses, but these compromised outcomes. Our model delivers comprehensive coverage with personal coaching at a price that makes complete interview preparation more accessible.

What You'll Learn
1. Motivation & Work Experience
We tackle all the most commonly asked motivation questions. We'll work on "Why Medicine?" but also "Why this particular medical school?" and questions about your work experience insights. We'll help you articulate what you've genuinely learned from your experiences rather than just describing what you saw. Everyone practices a full mock question with feedback.
2. How to Structure Your Answers
This is arguably the most important session. We've developed a unique approach at theMSAG after years of experience. We cover how to ace questions asking for examples using STARR, as well as opinion questions. You'll learn frameworks for introductions and conclusions that make your answers memorable.
3. Duties of a Doctor & Problem Solving
Roughly 90% of interview questions test your understanding of a doctor's duties in some way. We teach the critical GMC Good Medical Practice knowledge and our SPIES framework for approaching scenarios. You'll practice with scenarios about impaired colleagues, medication errors, and professional boundaries.
4. Personal Examples & Attributes
This is a practice and coaching session. You'll practice the structures taught earlier and receive feedback on your delivery. We cover examples for leadership, teamwork, communication, resilience, and problem-solving. Through personalised feedback and group learning, you'll build confidence in delivering compelling examples.
5. Personal Insights, Challenges & Growth
We teach you how to discuss weaknesses, failures, and challenges constructively. You'll learn to frame weaknesses while showing improvement strategies, discuss failures to highlight learning, and present challenges that showcase determination. This session transforms potentially tricky questions into opportunities to demonstrate maturity.
6. Medical Ethics & Scenarios
We focus on approaching ethical scenarios together, building balanced answers to complex dilemmas. We'll apply the four pillars to cases involving consent, capacity, confidentiality, and resource allocation. You'll develop the ability to acknowledge multiple perspectives while reaching defensible conclusions.
7. Hot Topics & NHS Issues
Half the session explores current healthcare topics and how to discuss them confidently. We review the best sources for staying informed. The second half tackles NHS challenges, workforce issues, and contemporary debates. This ensures you can engage thoughtfully without sounding like you've memorised headlines.
8. Prioritisation & SJT
We develop frameworks for making difficult decisions and explaining your reasoning clearly. You'll practice ICU bed allocation, task prioritisation, and ranking exercises. We teach you to approach these systematically, explaining your thought process as clearly as your decisions.
9. Role Plays
We focus on understanding what examiners look for and creating a checklist to secure marks consistently. You'll practice breaking bad news, explaining diagnoses, handling upset relatives, and obtaining consent. Through multiple practice scenarios with feedback, you'll develop both verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
10. Special Stations
We cover comprehensive approaches to calculation questions, picture stations, data interpretation, and any other special formats your target schools use. We teach systematic approaches to ensure you don't miss key points. The content adapts based on what medical schools are using this year.
Our course includes an unbeatable 10 hours of live online classes (Monday to Friday, 2 hours, 7 pm to 9 pm) taught by our founder, Dr Jiva and weekly interview practice (on Sundays) until the end of January 2026. Our Self-Study Interview Course is also included! For the daily classes, you can mix and match days from multiple weeks to suit your schedule and come back as often as you wish.
We are here to support you every step of the way. If you have any questions, please get in touch at hello@themsag.com.

Course provided an excellent insight into what the interviewers are looking for as well as providing structures to most effectively complete the stations

MSAG interview course
The experience was honestly a really good day and the facilitators tried to ease us into it with a little bit of an ice breaker. The information was absolutely amazing and summarised exactly what we needed to know. The practise stations were really good as well

Medical School Interview Course
Very good course. I think the actual MMI practice was very good in preparing for the interview on top of the morning theoretical content discussion. Bit on the expensive side but worth it.

A great help

Excellent!
This course was well organised. The preparation materials and details of the course were sent out in good time. The structure of the day was good, with relevant topics covered in appropriately sized groups. My daughter felt that she gained positively from attending this course. We're now hoping to get some interview offers!

Fantastic experience
I would highly recommend this course to anyone who needs that boost to get over that hurdle in the MMI stations. The supplied information was very useful and informative with the current NHS topics as well as the medical ethics scenarios. The video caption of my interview has taught me a lot about my body language and what I had to work on from the feedback from the Doctors who have helped with the at most dedication and advice to take onboard to work on. The whole course was interactive as a group or on an individual basis; I was very confident that I have picked the right team to help me bridge the gap. Thank you theMSAG team and keep up the good work. I am definitely recommending my colleagues to attend this course.
