MMI Mock Interview MSAG
I completed the MMI circuit with MSAG in December and found it very helpful. All the interviewers were of different ages, backgrounds and personalities, which prepared me for the great varieties of people that actually interviewed me. There was a wide range of questions, which I had never encountered before and they challenged me. These questions improved my ability to think on the spot and quickly structure my responses. The personalised feedback I received boosted my confidence as it showed what I did well, but it also emphasised what I needed to improve on so I could do more research on it. Afterwards, I was able to fill the highlighted gaps in my knowledge and during the real interview I could answer the majority of questions the interviewers threw at me. The MMI mock circuit structure emulated my real interviews, therefore I felt calm during them.

I received feedback for all of my stations and I was asked a variety of questions that allowed me to demonstrate different skills. I think my overall experience was pretty good with the Mock MMI in general, I received great feedback that was thorough from each interviewer and am expecting a mark scheme and more feedback. The interviewers were good, engaged in the conversation, I would have appreciated more follow-up questions and that could be something that can be improved on as it really tests the candidates understanding of the questions.

Realistic MMI experience with great feedback
This course was a really good practice for answering unknown questions under pressure and feels like a very realistic simulation of the interview and the nerves you get with that. You get to watch another candidate run through a circuit as well as doing your own so you can learn from each other on what works well/not so well. You can feel that the tutors are all really invested in you improving. They all put the time and effort into giving me personalised constructive feedback (which is also provided in writing after) which has helped me identify weaknesses and strengths I didn't realise before, so I can really work on those before the real interview. Good. Went through 20 stations that i felt were great at replicating the real interview experience. Received detailed feedback from interviewers on how they would approach the question which was very helpful . Questions that came up i think are very relevant to medicine today and the feedback is great in helping me improve my answers and definitely helps me focus on areas to improve.

Everything is structured out well and you get a good chance to answer a range of past medical school questions but most importantly is you get a lot of feedback from each station that helps massively. The interviews were very realistic and the tutors were helpful and guided you along the way.

Today was the first time i attempted a full MMI and It was intense but i realised how to think on the spot. the feedback given after the interview was great and informative. it was also really helpful being able to listen to another candidate as i was able to come up with answers to the questions whilst they were but to also realise how they picked up on points that i may have missed. it was also really good that i saw someone else reacted to a role play as i saw how obvious clues the interviews were giving you that i didnt pick up when i was in them myself. overall this course was an amazing experience and i recommend it to any applicants with interviews!

I started off thinking that I had most of the points down but as the interviews went on I felt less and less sure. The tutors really helped guide my answer and taught me how to structure certain answers. They helped calm everybody down and sent help via messages after sessions as well.

Today was my first time doing MMI and I thought this experience was intense enough to motivate me to progress in my interview techniques but also beneficial, especially the feedback. I like the way I got to listen to another candidate as I got to learn from their feedback and questions as well as my own and it was nice to be able to relate others who are applying to medicine like me. I found the whole session very valuable as I gained good feedback that I can reflect on. I also liked how some questions were specific to my personal statement but maybe more than 10 stations would be better. As a dentist, I would have preferred being partnered with another dentist- so maybe a separate session? Unfortunately I was only given 8 out of 10 of the mark schemes and have been emailing to send the last two asap but still yet to receive and interview is tomorrow!

Great! I had already prepared some answers to general MMI questions so being able to speak them out to examiners gave me more confidence. Moreover, this experience has helped me feel better prepared to think on my feet for questions I hadn’t prepared in advance. I attended two of these mmi circuits and they were brilliant! The main thing they are soo good at is giving you a very realistic feel of the interview - long, exhausting and challenging. These strict conditions were not possible for me to set up by myself at home so this mmi circuit helped me to practice my interview skills in strict timing as well as giving me a realistic experience of an mmi. The facilitators were very good at giving specific feedback (not the generic type) which enabled me to pinpoint exactly what were my weaknesses. Also you get to say your answers in front of another applicant which, although added to my nerves, built my confidence gradually and allowed me to learn from other apllicants on how they structure and deliver their answers. Totally worth it!
